Self-organisation: What works? D&D circle – Part 2: Conflict Transformation
In this video, members of the Deep Adaptation Forum Diversity & Decolonising Circle discuss what they have learned about conflict, and conflict transformation, in their self-organised group.
Part of a series on self-organisation.
Watch part 1 here.
Watch another video featuring the Collaborative Action Team.
I try to bring good people and exciting projects together within the Deep Adaptation Forum, where I am currently part of the core team. I am also studying social learning and radical collective change as part of my PhD at IFLAS, University of Cumbria.

Watching this deeply moving video, I wonder many things:
Where is my place in the Deep Adaptation community?
With such a profound experience with conflict, can it be there has become a shyness, a sense of “I don’t want to go there again”?
Seeing myself as “other”, I wonder how much is attached to image/ego/hurt and how to cross this border of isolation into the DAF community.
Thank you brave souls. the beat goes on…
Conflict avoidance is likely to remain part of our culture for a long time, I’m afraid…
I look forward to hearing more about your experience in dealing with this prickly topic, Ramey, so we can all enable this culture to change, little by little 🙂
