Q&A with Jane Dwinell

August 27, 2021 1 comment Chat webinar dorian

Jane has been a principal moderator on the Deep Adaptation Facebook group  for over two years, admin of the Practical DA facebook group, and a moderator on several other DA affiliated groups – including Deep Adaptation Parenting, Northeast US Deep Adaptation, and the Deep Adaptation Women’s Group.

An ordained minister in the Unitarian Universalist Church, former nurse, expert homesteader and off-gridder, as well as a published author, Jane is a pillar of the Deep Adaptation community. Listen to her interview with David B. here.

In this conversation, Wendy and Dorian will be asking Jane about her journey to Deep Adaptation, her experience of being a long-time volunteer in the Deep Adaptation community, the difficult choices faced by moderators in Deep Adaptation conversations, and other topics.

Join us to ask Jane your questions and take part in this discussion.

Time: August 20, 6 to 7pm UTC. See your local time here.

If you would like to join the meeting, please click ‘Going’ or ‘Interested’ on this page, or contact us to tell us you want to attend, and you’ll receive a link by email before the event.

ABOUT THE CONSCIOUS LEARNING WEBINARS

webinarsThis webinar is part of the Conscious Learning Festival (July to September, 2021), itself an offshoot of Wendy and Dorian’s participatory Action Research project in the Deep Adaptation Forum (see here). These webinars touch on the topics of learning, change, and Deep Adaptation. Where relevant, they will highlight the presenters’ “learning journey” into the Deep Adaptation Forum and beyond.

Read more about the Festival here, and feel free to convene a discussion of your own!

See here for a list of upcoming webinars, and here to watch our call recordings.

I try to bring good people and exciting projects together within the Deep Adaptation Forum, where I am currently part of the core team. I am also studying social learning and radical collective change as part of my PhD at IFLAS, University of Cumbria.
